Unimaid Alumni Honors Gov Kefas, Lawmakers, and Others for Meritorious Services

The Taraba State chapter of the University of Maiduguri (Unimaid) Alumni Association recently presented awards to outstanding individuals, including Governor Agbu Kefas, for their excellent leadership and meritorious services.

Governor Kefas, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Barr Gibon Kataps, received the excellent leadership award alongside other notable personalities, such as Hon Mark Useni, member representing Donga, Takum, Ussa, and Yangtu Development Area, and Rtn Jerry Oliver, who received a humanitarian services award.

The awards ceremony, which took place at Shield Hotel in Jalingo, was part of the maiden reunion and award night organized by the Unimaid Alumni Association, Taraba State Chapter. The event brought together old friends and colleagues, who shared memories of their university days and celebrated the achievements of their alma mater.

In his speech, Governor Kefas appreciated the Unimaid Alumni Association for recognizing his efforts towards repositioning the state on the path of progress. He also lauded the university for producing sound and vibrant personalities who have contributed significantly to the development of Taraba State.

Rtn Jerry Oliver, chairman of the Central Planning Committee (CPC), urged members of the association to continue working hard and in unity to make their alma mater proud. He also appreciated the awards planning committee for recognizing his humanitarian services.

The event ended with a buffet dinner, marking a successful reunion and awards ceremony for the Unimaid Alumni Association, Taraba State Chapter.
