TARABA STATE GOVERNMENT CONVENES CRUCIAL MEETING TO BOOST LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

Jalingo, Taraba State – In a bid to pr
ioritize the welfare and development of its citizens, the Taraba State Government convened a strategic meeting with the Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. The meeting, held at the Exco Chamber TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, aimed to evaluate developmental reports, strategize a development course, and tackle pressing needs at the local level.

According to Governor Agbu Kefas, “Our primary focus is on the welfare and development of our people – therefore our Local government administration cum systems must prioritize their needs.”
The meeting provided a platform for the Chairmen of the LGAs to present developmental reports, highlighting challenges and opportunities for growth. The state government and the LGAs deliberated on strategies to tackle the pressing needs of the people at the local level, with Governor Kefas emphasizing that “every challenge confronting the people will be converted into opportunities.”

Furthermore, the Taraba State Government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that each LGA receives its rightful development template as stipulated in the Taraba Development Master Plan. Governor Kefas stated, “We will scrutinize the Taraba Development Master Plan to ensure that each LGA receives its rightful development template as stipulated in the plan.”

The meeting marks a significant step towards achieving the state’s development goals, demonstrating the government’s dedication to prioritizing the needs of its citizens and driving growth at the local level. Governor Kefas reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy, stating, “We have a duty to leave Taraba better than we found it, and this objective is already being achieved.”
