REBUTTAL TO FALSE DISCLAIMER CIRCULATING IN TARABA STATE

Our attention has been drawn to a purported “DISCLAIMER” dated 26th February 2026, allegedly issued in the name of the Heavy Duty & Haulage Transport Association of Nigeria (HDHTAN), declaring Prince Andeshatso Ira and others as unknown to the Association and further describing them as imposters.

We categorically state as follows:

1. The said disclaimer is false, malicious, and misleading.

The individuals mentioned, particularly Prince Andeshatso Ira, are duly recognized members and officers within the structure of the Association and have actively participated in its affairs.

2. The disclaimer lacks due process and constitutional backing.

No disciplinary proceedings, query, suspension, or expulsion was initiated in accordance with the Association’s Constitution before issuing such a weighty and defamatory publication. Therefore, the publication is null, void, and of no effect.

3. The document is an abuse of office and an attempt to mislead security agencies.

The attempt to label legitimate members as “aliens” or “imposters” without lawful authority amounts to defamation, character assassination, and deliberate misrepresentation of facts.

4. Leadership dispute cannot be resolved by unilateral declaration.

Where there is any internal disagreement regarding leadership, such matters must be resolved through constitutional mechanisms of the Association or by a competent court of law — not by public intimidation or misuse of security institutions.

5. Public Notice.

Members of the public, security agencies, stakeholders, and partners are hereby informed that the said disclaimer does not represent the collective decision of the Association’s lawful structure and should be disregarded in its entirety.

We reserve the right to pursue all lawful remedies available under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria against those responsible for this false and injurious publication.

Signed,

Abdulkadir Abdul

For and on behalf of the Concerned Members

Heavy Duty & Haulage Transport Association of Nigeria (HDHTAN)
