Ardo-Kola LG Chairman Hails Gov. Kefas’ Rice, Maize Distribution.
The Chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba state, Alhaji Umar Bello Badawaire has on behalf of the people of Ardo-Kola, expressed gratitude to the Taraba state governor, Dr Agbu Kefas for releasing some metric tons of rice and maize for the vulnerable groups in the local government area
Badawaire during the distribution of the items, initiated sharing criteria acceptable to all different from the usual non-transparent methods. The items that were distributed in Jalingo by the Chairman were allocated incorporating all former Chairmen, Councilors, commissioners, legislative members and permanent secretaries from the Local Government Area. Speaking further, the chairman hinted that sons and daughters of Ardo-Kola LGA by virtue of his consistent good gestures, have accepted to endorse the governor for the second term in office come 2026.
Meanwhile, the permanent secretary, Bureau for Local Government, traditions and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr, Godfrey Dame, the custodian of the food commodities
Said the initiative was to provide palliatives to the vulnerable to ease the economic burden on citizens and ensure food availability.
Engr Dame described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it would significantly alleviate hardship among citizens.
He also on behalf of all the Local Government’s expressed appreciation to Governor Kefas for the donation, and assured that the items would be distributed fairly in order to reach every community and household.
The permanent secretary, who was represented by the Director of Local Government, Alhaji Muhammed Jungudo, described Governor Kefas gesturesDivinevine intervention to the good people of Taraba state.

According to himGovernor Kefasas has been releasing funds for capital projects to all Local Government chairmen in the state.
Also during the distribution exercise, the former Chairman of Ardo Kola, Hon. Haruna Musa, who spoke on behalf of Ardo Kola Local Government stakeholders, commended the Chairman and assured him that they would ensure justice and transparency in the distribution exercise. He further praised Governor Agbu Kefas for the gesture, stating:
“We are grateful. It shows that leadership is a continuum and that the welfare of the people remains paramount.”
The distribution exercise was supervised by a committee comprising traditional rulers, community leaders, the Muslim Council, CAN representatives, party officials, and NULGE to ensure fairness.
Beneficiaries were urged to make good use of the items and to continue supporting peace and development in Ardo Kola LGA.
