APC Youth Vanguard Calls for Governor’s Resignation Amidst Allegations of Mismanaged Funds
The APC Youth Vanguard in Taraba 
State has issued a stern warning to Governor Agbu Kefas, calling for his resignation if he fails to prioritize good governance. The group’s concerns stem from the alleged mismanagement of state funds, despite receiving substantial allocations from the Federation Account.
According to the APC Youth Vanguard, Taraba State has received over ₦393 billion in less than two years, comprising ₦110 billion from the Federation Account and ₦33 billion from Internally Generated Revenue. However, the state government has borrowed over ₦250 million during the same period, sparking concerns about the management of these funds.
The state’s media commissioner has cited various renovation projects in defense of the administration against allegations of corruption. However, the APC Youth Vanguard argues that these renovations pale in comparison to the lack of significant development initiatives.
Critics point to Governor Kefas’s frequent foreign trips, allegedly in search of investment, as a prime example of the state’s misplaced priorities. “It’s unacceptable that our governor is gallivanting around the world, wasting public funds on luxury trips, while our state suffers from inadequate infrastructure and public services,” said a concerned citizen.
“The governor’s frequent foreign trips have yielded no tangible results, yet he continues to embark on these fruitless journeys at the expense of the state’s coffers,” said a concerned citizen. “We demand that the governor prioritizes the needs of our state and puts an end to these wasteful trips.”
The APC Youth Vanguard notes that neighboring states, such as Adamawa and Gombe, have made significant strides in development, leaving Taraba State lagging behind. “It’s time for Governor Kefas to take responsibility and prioritize the needs of our state, or step aside and let someone else lead,” said Comr. Ayuba.
The people of Taraba State are growing increasingly frustrated with the alleged mismanagement of funds and the lack of development in the state. “We demand transparency and accountability from our government,” said a local resident. “It’s time for Governor Kefas to deliver on his promises or face the consequences.”
