LAMDO GASHAKA LAUDS PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE, URGES TOLERANCE AMONG FARMERS AND HERDER
His Royal Highness, he Alhaji Dr. Zubairu Hammangabdo Muhammad Sambo, the Lamdo of Gashaka, expressed his satisfaction with the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in Gashaka Local Government Area while addressing journalists at the prayer ground in Serti after observing Sallah prayers. He attributed the serene environment to the robust cooperation and mutual understanding among security agencies and stakeholders in the region.
Speaking to the newsmen, the Lamido commended the Taraba State Government under Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, stating, “The state government has been working diligently in collaboration with traditional institutions to foster peace and stability across the state.” He highlighted that this partnership has been instrumental in maintaining harmony in Gashaka.
The Lamdo urged farmers and herders to exercise tolerance and restraint to ensure peaceful coexistence. “I appeal to our farmers and herders to tolerate one another and prevent minor misunderstandings from escalating into crises,” he emphasized.
He also issued a stern warning to those allowing newcomers into the Local Government without proper vetting. “Anyone facilitating the entry of unknown individuals into our communities without due diligence will be held accountable for any resulting issues,” the Lamdo declared, underscoring his commitment to upholding security and order.
