GALADIMA MURI CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF LEADERSHIP, COMMENDS TARABA STATE GOVERNMENT
In a grand ceremony held at the Patient Event Centre in Jalingo, Galadima Muri, Dr. Lamido Abba Tukur, marked a significant milestone – 40 years of leadership as the District Head of Jalingo. The event was attended by dignitaries, traditional title holders, and well-wishers from across the country.
Dr Abba Tukur, who has been instrumental in transforming Jalingo, expressed his gratitude to the guests and commended the Taraba State Government for its efforts in restoring peace and security in the state, particularly in the Jalingo metropolis. He also appealed to the public to support the government, led by Dr Kefas Agbu, to enable them to do more for the benefit of all.
In his remarks, Galadima Muri urged traders not to take advantage of the upcoming Ramadan period by escalating prices of foodstuff. He emphasized the importance of showing compassion and understanding towards the masses, who are already facing the challenges of food insecurity.
The occasion also featured an award ceremony, where deserving community members were recognized for their contributions to the development of the state. Traditional entertainment groups and the Taraba State Arts Council added to the festivities, making the event a memorable one.
