Nzuta ISechap Movement Gains Momentum in Ussa as Key Political Figures Defect

The political landscape in Ussa Constituency of Taraba State is witnessing a notable shift as the movement of Hon. Nzuta ISechap continues to gather momentum, following the defection of prominent political actors from three major wards—Fikyu, Kpambo Puri, and Kwesati.

The development, which observers describe as significant ahead of the forthcoming electoral cycle, has further strengthened the grassroots appeal of the Nzuta ISechap Movement, positioning it as an emerging force within the constituency.

Sources within the wards confirmed that the defectors, comprising seasoned political mobilisers and community influencers, cited growing confidence in ISechap’s leadership style and his articulated vision for inclusive development as reasons for their decision.

At separate receptions held across the wards, representatives of the new entrants pledged their commitment to mobilising support for the movement, noting that the need for responsive and accountable representation has become increasingly urgent among constituents.

They maintained that their decision was driven by what they described as a desire to align with a platform that prioritises the welfare of the people, grassroots engagement, and sustainable development initiatives.

Political analysts say the endorsements from Fikyu, Kpambo Puri, and Kwesati wards could prove pivotal, given their strategic importance in determining electoral outcomes in Ussa Constituency.

Responding to the development, the representative of Hon. Nzuta ISechap expressed appreciation to the new members and reiterated his commitment to fostering unity and delivering people-oriented leadership. He emphasised that the movement remains open to all stakeholders willing to contribute to the growth and progress of Ussa.

With the latest wave of defections, stakeholders note that the Nzuta ISechap Movement is steadily consolidating its presence across the constituency, a trend that may reshape political alignments in the area in the months ahead.
