Nigeria Set for Environmental Health Revolution as EHCN, Afri Tourism Unveil AI-Driven National Workshop
In a decisive push toward redefining Nigeria’s environmental health landscape, the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCN), under the leadership of Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Suldi, Esq.—the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Taraba State and current Chairman of EHCN—has partnered with Afri Tourism Investment Ltd to launch a national capacity-building initiative anchored on Artificial Intelligence and predictive analytics.
The landmark programme, scheduled for November 18–20, 2025, will take place at the Ministry of Environment Green Building in Abuja. The three-day National Workshop and Training is being hailed as a transformative step toward modernizing public health administration and strengthening Nigeria’s preparedness for emerging environmental and health threats.
With the theme, “AI-Driven Operations and Predictive Analytics: Building a Safer, Healthier, and Sustainable Nation,” the event is expected to convene environmental health officers, safety professionals, disease surveillance and notification officers, policymakers, and other critical stakeholders from across the federation.
According to the organizers, the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places premium value on innovation, technology integration, and sustainable development. As the regulatory body for environmental health standards nationwide, EHCN under El-Suldi’s leadership has continued to champion reforms aimed at building a technologically driven public health framework capable of addressing the country’s fast-evolving challenges.

The upcoming workshop is structured around three strategic pillars designed to deepen institutional capacity and reposition the environmental health sector:

Participants will be trained on modern AI tools, digital surveillance systems, and predictive analytics tailored for field operations and proactive health management.

The programme seeks to enhance cooperation across the health, environment, and safety sectors, fostering joint responses to emerging threats and operational gaps.
